Teky news...

.
The 2011 Consumer Electronic Show ends today in Las Vegas leaving the public with quite a few gadgets to expect or buy.

What was so exciting this year at the show?

About 80 exhibitors decided to run against the ipad by presenting a version of the touch screen tablet PC. These types of tablets want to be a mix between the PC and the mobile...covering the consumer needs from telephony to soft applications. It appears technology wants to throw laptops and desktops into the dust and bring into the light the tablet computer. Motorola, Dell, Toshiba entered the market using Android a Google operating software program.

The Android Tablet PC starts at $ 169.99 with the 2.1 model that has a 7 inch touch screen 4G, G sensor and HDMI output. The slim, compact model has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/ a 1.3 megapixel camera and allows a lot of free or paid software downloads. The problem is that version 2.1 or 2.2 has still some bugs. The developers are still working to fix them...Maybe the upcoming Android 3.0?

Windows introduced the Windows Phone 7 the challenger to the Apple iphone G4. The new 7 will be ready for the Verizon Wireless, and AT&T networks soon.

Ms. Lady Gaga - Director of Creativity at Polaroid (sic! you didn't expect to see her name here) presented the sun glasses camera, the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer (a printer that can connect with mobiles via Bluetooth and the GL30 Instant Digital Camera (a combination between traditional printing Polaroid cameras and the digital technology).
